Giving Back to Community
At FUSEdenver, we believe in inspiring, encouraging, creating, innovating, supporting and cultivating where we live, work and play. Each show we partner with a different local nonprofit and donate a percentage of ticket sales to that organization. This year's charitable partner is Colorado-based, Mission Wear. Their whole mission is to hire women with severe obstacles to employment: incarceration, felony convictions, recovery from addiction, prostitution, or homelessness. They then employ these women to sew reusable products out of recycled fabrics including banner materials, burlap, denim and other fabrics–our newest product out of bike tires! The overall goal is to give them job experience so that they may attain full-time employment and subsequently, become self-sufficient. Mission Wear also assists in finding counseling, educational opportunities and housing when necessary. ”Renewable women making reusable products”. www.MissionWear.org
